Dane Baptiste: Reasonable Doubts

Dane Baptiste brings an amusing insight into his mind in this funny stand-up show.

Dane Baptiste: Reasonable Doubts

Dane Baptiste seems to take naturally to comedy. His view on life is interesting and self-admittedly over-thought, which is one of the things I liked best about his act. He took current issues from the sublime, through some ridiculous conspiracies, and into the ridiculous in an easy stream that flowed naturally as he spoke.

He is undoubtedly not alone in his views of the world, as they are widely accepted ones revolving around diversity, charitable deeds and the difference in opinion between the older and younger generations. His act was captivating, interesting and funny.

Despite his clear comic ability, his stand-up show seemed to lack that extra something that would have had everyone crying with laughter on their seats and complaining that their cheeks hurt, something that I believe, in time, he may come to master. Although there was the odd very funny joke, not all of them quite hit the mark.

However, if you are interested in some fresh new stand up, I would recommend seeing his show, as even if you don't cry from laughter, you will still come out in a happier, lighter mood than when you went in.

Overall, I did enjoy Dane Baptiste's show, I just don't think it is the best stand-up show I have seen. His take on the world is fresh and intriguing and he will definitely make you laugh.
