Lady and the Cramp is a fun, witty and brutally honest look at many of the issues faced by women in our society today. The comedy cabaret show is the brain-child of multi-talented, all-female group Polly Clamorous, who have written a selection of hilarious songs that will have you laughing from start to finish.
All-female group Polly Clamorous is made up of Aurora Richardson, Jamie Bell, Stefanie Bruckner and Isabelle Woolley. All four sing in perfect harmony and play various instruments throughout the show
I actually first saw this show over two years ago in its first life, and I enjoyed it so much I couldn’t wait for an opportunity to see it again, in this new, remastered version with the added joy of new songs.
Plus, who could think of a better setting for this show than the Vagnia Museum? Set in Stables Market in Camden Town, the museum is holding several events over the next few weeks in the lead-up to their official opening and I couldn’t have thought of a more perfect show for the occasion than this.
Throughout this fast-paced one hour show, the ladies cover topics from consent and spiked drinks to side effects of the contraceptive pill, all in the form of catchy, upbeat and perfectly harmonised songs that leave you beaming from ear to ear. Between the members of the group, they accompany themselves on the piano, guitar, ukulele, banjolele and a plethora of percussive instruments.
This show is hilarious despite the seriousness of some of the topics - something that isn’t necessarily easy to achieve - and I guarantee you’ll have the best time!

I interviewed Polly Clamorous at the RADA Festival earlier this year, and you should check it out to get more insight into how these comedic geniuses work.
