View BlogI am student studying the Gold Arts Award. For this Arts Issue, I have decided to focus on the gender stereotypes and the struggles young men and women face when going into the dance industry. I decided to research deeper into this issue after receiving a comment from a family member regarding an all boys performance at a recent showcase.

I believe that dance at GCSE/A Level can give students so many independent qualities that other subjects don't have to offer; such as team work, communication, physical and mental strength. Also, this is a very well written article, well done Kayla!

Are amateur theatrical companies frowned upon? by Chloe HedgerI really like this Arts Issue. I agree, I think that amateur theatrical companies should be portrayed just as highly as the professional as they put just as much time, effort and passion into their performance than the professionals! I think advertisement is key when putting on a production and I have seen many of the amateur companies that you have mentioned on social media.

I believe that it should not matter what you look like in the Performing Arts Industry, as long as you have passion, determination and perseverance you can achieve anything!
