Throughout the centuries men and women have hoped to find their true love. They have found many ways to declare their interest, love and affection. This exhibition looks at the ways that couples have sought to attract and woo each other. From medieval times through to contemporary life the prospect of a romantic proposal has led to many bizarre rituals.
