The National gallery in London house some of the greatest collections of art works. It opened in 1838 by Queen Victoria and offers diverse exhibits from British and international artists.
I saw everything from landscape paintings to art depicting Jesus, historic events and portraits. Italian paintings are in the west rooms (Boticeli, Da Vinci, Michelangelo). French and Spanish works are in east rooms (Cezanne, Goya, Manet). British artwork is located in the east rooms as well and it includes Constable, Gainsborough, Turner.
The gallery is a favourite among Londoners and tourists. It is an ideal place to spend the day. Most famous artists under the same roof. Must be seen! I recommend it because it is a wonderful experience to visit as a child.
