Black History Month with Voice

Join us in celebrating Black creatives for the whole month of October.

Black History Month with Voice

October is when people all over the UK take the time to educate themselves and celebrate Black History. It’s important we use this moment to remember our struggle and honour those who have paved the way. However, Black History Month is about so much more than the trials and tribulations Black people have faced in the past.

Black History Month is the perfect opportunity to shine a light on the new generation of Black people who are making history now, and it’s that aspect that we will be focussing on for the whole month.

So what do we have planned?

Our Instaviews series live on IG will be dedicated to Black creatives for all of October. We will be talking to those with music backgrounds, literary backgrounds and more.

Our weekly Lists and New Music Friday will be a celebration of those coming up and making a name for themselves, and those we already know and love who continue taking up space and creating.

Voice Retrospects will throwback to some Black classics, and we’ll have some great thought-provoking pieces on the subject throughout the month as well.

In the meantime, why not have a look at some of our already existing content on Black matters:
