Morgan Freeman

My Arts Inspiration

Morgan Freeman

My arts inspiration. The person I chose is Morgan Freeman, the reason I chose this artist is because I enjoy the movies he was involved in and his you tube videos.

Morgan Freeman's acting career started in 1964 within the film industry, he was born 1st June 1937 in Memphis Tennessee and at the age of 16 he almost died due too pneumonia. Morgan Freeman started his acting career at 9 years old playing a lead role in a school play which inspired him towards his current acting career. In 1955 he graduated and turned down the opportunity of a partial drama scholarship and instead applied for the United States air force where he served 4 years as an automatic radar mechanic.  Eventually Morgan Freeman got the rank of airman 1st class during his time in the US air force.  In the early 1960's he began acting again and started dance lessons.

In July 2014 Morgan Freeman became concerned with a decline in honey bees so decided to take action and turn his 124 acre ranch into a sanctuary. In my opinion I think Morgan Freeman is a brilliant actor and a down to earth person,  he has progressed a lot since he first started acting as an extra and obviously has a natural talent.  Morgan Freeman is a sort after artist and has many an opportunities presented to him playing main roles in major movies.

The reason why I admire Morgan Freeman is I enjoy the roles he plays, for example: The Bucket List .This is where he is terminally ill, I do find this movie quite upsetting as its relate-able, even with sad roles however, Morgan Freeman always seems to put a happy twist on the situation he finds himself in.  Morgan Freeman's commitment and dedication to the character his paying is so well executed that if you concentrate on his movies you can tell that he gives 100% in his roles, his dedication is outstanding.  Throughout his 30 year  career Morgan Freeman has never been too proud to take less leading roles and has always been humble and grateful for the position he is in,  Morgan Freeman wasn't afraid to try his best at anything he set his mind to even if it didn't work out he was undeterred and went on to try the next thing.  I think it is this motivated, positive personality I admire the most.

I'm Ewan, I live in a semi rural community which is surrounded in history and when given the opportunity to explore my local heritage with CADW and partake in the Unloved Heritage project I was skeptical but 7 months on I am really enjoying it.
