On the 19th of March I attended a violin performance by the Mysore brothers in the Bhavan, London. I attended this concert along with my family!
The Maysur brothers are renowned worldwide violinists who are extremely talented,
They have been awarded many awards including
· Mysore brothers received innumerable awards including the Best Violinist
awards from The Music Academy and Indian fine arts society,
· Excellence award from American Institute of World culture,
· honors from the American Arts council,
· honors from Sangeetha Samrat,
· honors from Sangeetha Rathna,
· honors from Ganakalashree,
· honors from Sathyashri,
· Aryabhata honors,
· Meritorious Award from University of Oklahoma-USA etc.
The concert was an amazing experience. The Carnatic Violin event started at 6:00pm and ended at 9:15pm. The atmosphere was amazing and watching them play was fassinating. It was clear there music was filled with talent and devotion and the pieces they played were soothing but also catchy and engaging. The use of alaapsas and gamaaks ans kalpana swaras made the performance more enchanting.
Overall i would defiantly recommend this performance to others however it may not be for everyone bearing in mind the duration of the concert.
