Love alot of these films. Hunt for the Wilderpeople is definitely up in my top. If we are talking pre this year I would say Whiplash, Girl Most Likely and Promised Land are must sees. Also, a huge Moulin Rouge fan! This year I really loved Love, Simon and Ladybird!
I want to challenge myself to watch more films. I feel like I am missing out on an amazing world of things.

Amazing job Emilie! So well researched and some incredible stories you pull on within this piece. I am with you I think that theatre is a great tool for change but it has to be used in the right way. Too often we are 'preaching to the converted' and therefore the big push and change we wish to see is not fulfilled. We need to take theatre out to the people who need to see it rather than expect them to come in to a space where they might not feel welcome.

I am so with you on this! My college didn't understand people who didn't want to go to Uni and kind of gave up on me leaving me to discover what I should do next by myself.
I even nearly ended up going to Uni through a clearing space because I was so scared of not following the norm. I will never know if not going to Uni would have changed where I am at now but I am glad I made the decision I did.
I now work in one of my favourite theatre's doing a job I have always wanted and without having to do a degree.
Don't get me wrong for so many of my friends Uni or Drama School has been totally right for them as a next step but it is not for everyone and society needs to be more open to that!

I adore this soundtrack and have seen the film of the show but would really love to see it on stage, especially with these two!

I am a big fan of these 3 guys! I first met them at a college workshop and fell in love with there style of theatre which to me is utterly unique.

I am glad you got to see them at this year's Fringe. I haven't seen this particular show but I am sure it is outstanding and hope to see it at some point in the near future. If I needed anymore persuading this review definitely did it.

It must be the year of reading. Me & some of the girls from work have challenged each other to another reading challenge which sees you complete 12 book challenges in 12 months. I have already completed my first two, owned but never read - I read Jane Lynch's memoir, Happy Accidents & previously abandoned where I read Eva Ibbotson's A Company of Swans. Now moving on to my third book and I am loving it. I used to be a big reader when I was little but then just never found the time or couldn't motivate myself. Doing this challenge I have switched my daily commute from catching up on tv shows I don't really watch to two hours of reading books. I recommend challenging yourself to read more to everyone. I have fallen back in love with reading and bought myself numerous books which I always wanted to read but never found time to read. Definitely going to have read a lot by the end of this year!
