Thank-you!
Firstly, a big thank-you for your interest in attending the review writing workshop. We're really sorry we had to cancel at the last minute, but we still want to help you make your voice heard, so have pulled these resources together so you can still find out more about what goes into a review.
If you are interested in reviewing for us during Brighton Fringe, and helping us choose the Best Newcomer, please take a look at the opportunity listing here.
If you want to just publish your own reviews - whether at Brighton Fringe or at another event - all you need to get started is an account on the website.
Resources
We have a number of resources on Voice that you may find helpful when writing your own reviews. Below are a sample of some of them.
- How to write reviews for the web - Jake Orr
- How to write a review of an event - Bhavesh Jadva
- How to create an awesome review of a music event - Luke Taylor
- How to review an exhibition - Sally Trivett
- How to... report from festivals (Part 1) (Part 2) - Emily Steer
For more how to guides on a wide variety of topics such as voting, rehearsing Shakespeare or getting your film into a film festival, take a look at our How To Guides Voicebox.
We also have a review style guide that outlines details such as ideal length, timings, image requirements and how we consider individual star ratings.
If you haven't already, I encourage you also to create a profile on Voice. This will be necessary for you to upload your reviews!
