Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye and many more excellent artists all diversified into one temptations musical; Motown.
The West End musical Motown has an exceptional way of captivating an audience. The vibrant lighting really grasps attention and the simple staging creates a true atmosphere of 1959. Indulge yourself into lavish production that'll not only take you on a joy ride but also educate you on the struggles and accomplishments undertaken between 1929-1970.
Furthermore, it's a show that has the power to pick anyone up and off their feet and has a powerful message expressing racism and morals, it felt amazing to be sat in the Theatre enjoying a high end show and feeling enthralled that I was learning about things outside of a classroom.
The singers were incredible, particularly the actress that played Diana Ross, who had such an authoritative voice that it sent shivers down my spine on each high note. In addition, the dancers were also very captivating; being in unison and in time with the music, it was an experience that I will not forget.
During the display, I found that the songs are irresistible and the storyline makes it a truly unmissable and unforgettable musical that deserves to be travelling around the world and on the West End. It was emotional and loving, which really helps to boost your morality and feel proud of the person you have become: more selfless, understanding and knowledgeable of the struggles of living in a non-dominant race in the 19th C.
Motown, the musical; A hit show!
