Open Workshop with the Grand Union Orchestra

The Grand Union Orchestra (GUO) are a musical organisation that bring together singers and instrumentalists from all over the world to create spectacular live shows. On the 6thOctober, we will be running an open workshop at Shoreditch Town Hall to support the Black British Music in Hackney programme. Led by charismatic Candomblé expert Ricardo Axé (singer/drummer/dancer) from Northeast Brazil, this workshop will focus on explaining traditional Yoruba culture and exploring percussion and chant celebrating the orixas (spirits). From 2-4pm, this workshop will be for musicians of any age or level of skill. Just turn up – and bring your instrument! Find out more here: http://grandunion.org.uk/events.php
