Arts opportunities in schools

Are there enough Arts opportunities within English schools ?

Arts opportunities in schools

The gradual reduction of Arts being offered in schools increases every year due to funding and government interference. The fact that subjects such as Drama and Music are not part of the EBacc qualification has lead to a general opinion that they are not "academic subjects". This has lead to students not taking these as GCSE subjects under  pressure from parents/guardians and schools themselves.

It's a hot issue at the moment, and while it is fair that there are cuts happening in every industry, and certainly every subject - it seems that arts are the subjects that are always first to suffer!
Artists and performers do have a knack for making art without funding though! Where there is life there is art!
