Voice Reviewers Impact

In January 2023, we launched our Voice Reviewers Programme off the back of 5 successful outreach programmes that we ran across the UK back in 2022.

This programme allows us to provide 16-30 year olds across the UK with access to arts and creative events within their area through the help and support of the arts and cultural organisations near them.

In the first 12 months of our brand new Voice Reviewers programme we: signed up 30 new reviewers from the across the UK, produced over 100 different reviews and gained the support of over 30 prestigious arts and cultural organisations within our reviewers areas!

AND THERE IS SO MUCH MORE TO COME IN 2024 AND BEYOND

But don't just take it from us, hear from 3 of our reviewers on their experience as a Voice Reviewer so far...

"To be honest, the reason that first convinced me to become a Voice reviewer, was the promise of free tickets to theatre and arts events that hadn't necessarily been accessible to me before! But the minute I published my first piece, I knew I had discovered a passion.

Since starting out with Voice I have enjoyed incredibly invaluable experiences, from fabulous theatre press nights and arts and music experiences. Not only that, my confidence has tripled and I have networked with fellow reviewers, approached actors for interviews, and recently, I even managed to convince my local newspaper to publish my latest review!"
"I joined Voice Magazine as I love theatre, and simply wanted to see even more of it. Having reviewed for a few magazines whilst at University, I knew I had an aptitude for arts criticism and Voice was the perfect opportunity to capitalise on that.

Reviewing for Voice Magazine has developed my critical voice. This opportunity has expanded my mindset by allowing me to critique a spectrum of theatre, literature and art. Being a Voice Reviewer has pushed me out of my comfort zone in a beneficial way and has improved my confidence greatly."
"I got started as a Voice Reviewer because it seemed like a great opportunity to appreciate the variety of live performances which London has to offer.

Since becoming a Voice Reviewer, I have developed skills in how to write a more captivating and interesting review, I have been able to watch performances which I would have never gone to otherwise and I have gained experience in order to enrich my journey as a reviewer."

Take a look at some of the reviews and events our Voice Reviewers have attended here

We've loved working closely with arts and cultural organisations across the country! Their participation and support allows us to provide our reviewers with FREE PRESS TICKETS to a variety of events which enables our reviewers to develop skills in journalistic writing, critical thinking, time management and personal development as well as giving them professional experiences that they can draw on later in their lives and careers.

When speaking with young people, so many find the cost of attending events one of the main factors for not seeing and doing so much more, so with these organisations support we can fulfill their goals and wishes much quicker!

Here's what one of our organisations that have supported us since the beginning, have to say about working with Voice:
