Rapunzel at Stratford Royal Theatre

A review of Rapunzel play that happened at Stratford Royal Theatre.

Rapunzel at Stratford Royal Theatre

I liked it where witch Maddy went up to the tower and cutted Rapunzel’s hair off and Goldilocks hair and that he threw them off the tower. I liked the way they were using the lights, sounds effect and also liked the costume's they were wearing.

For the cast:

  • Rapunzel - Joanne Sandi
  • Baby bear - Gemma Salter
  • Mr Bear Iggy - Raj Bajaj
  • Witch maddy - Michael Bertenshaw
  • Toby - Stephen Hoo
  • Albert - Gary Wood
  • Mouse - Stephen Hoo
  • Mrs Duck - Stephen Hoo
  • Mrs Bear Lizzy - Juliet Okotie
  • Goldilocks - Julie Yammanee
  • Egor - Gary Wood
  • Grace - Gary Wood

I would advice you to watch it because its a good play and i think you would like to see it.

I saw the show too, the actor I liked the best was Michael Bertenshaw - he is always great in panto and at the end when his character Witch Maddy gets younger and younger he used great characterisation to show this. Fab show

Well, for my opinion about this panto which is obvious the Rapunzel performances. i would commanded this for people who like a fair-tale base on a story perspective, however some of actor are okay but i mostly like the Goldilocks actress( Julie Yammanee) her performances was way more intensive and astonishing because the way she show her character as part of her skill to prove their main audiences and to understand the play as well. what i dislike the fact is half of where they start play a game of picking people and bring out some random song like most popular song of the year, big shaq (Maan Not hot) it was really goofy and cringe for me cause i am a young full educated student and i will not watch these part because they just pointless in the scenes. the dialogue for me, it was really good i wouldn't say it bad it just some of dialogue are from book which i can recognize all the dialogue references from a book. so i will give this Rapunzel show a 8.7/10
