Event Assistant

Want to work at a classical music festival? Lake District Music are putting together a crack team for the summer and they’re looking for Event Assistants to help present their festival set in the stunning scenery of the Lake District.

Event Assistant

Set in the stunning scenery of the Lake District, you'll join a great team of festival staff and volunteers working to deliver a whole mixture of live classical concerts, masterclasses, online streaming, workshops and cross-arts events including dance, visual art and silent film.

From stage management, box office, and front of house duties to working with the UK's finest musicians and more. This is an ideal opportunity for those wishing to gain experience working hands-on in the arts sector. Applicants are required to be available for the entirety of the period covering from lunchtime Tuesday 23 July until the afternoon of Monday 5 August 2024.

This is a voluntary/trainee role and is therefore unpaid. However, accommodation and breakfast will be provided at the University of Cumbria campus in Ambleside throughout this period, there is a daily food allowance and expenses are paid.

All team members will also receive first aid training (gaining a qualification valid for 3 years and transferrable to other posts).
