Print Fellow

WYPW are offering an exciting opportunity for a printmaker, recent graduate or early-career artist to join our friendly team from January 2024 for one year.

Print Fellow

Reports to: Print Technician

Hours of work: This is a bursary scheme, part time (1 day per week working in the print rooms - 5 hour working day - and 1 day per week free access to the print rooms).

Contracted post for 1 year.

WYPW are offering an exciting opportunity for a printmaker, recent graduate or early-career artist to join our friendly team from January 2024 for one year. The fellowship is all about honing your skills as a printmaker, learning more about being a print technician and getting an insight into how a print workshop runs, (including our exhibitions and education programme), as a first step into a creative career. This year-long placement will help you grow with the WYPW team to support you, a small paid bursary for 5 hours work a week, and a day of free access to our professional print studio facilities.

They particularly encourage applications from those who work with under-used processes such as intaglio processes such as etching, solar plate printing and lithography. However, we are open to applications from those who work in other processes too.

The scheme will allow the fellow to learn more about becoming a print technician and teaching and supporting others, as well as exploring their own practice and technique, and developing work through access to printmaking facilities, while gaining hands-on experience of the day-to-day workings of a print studio. We hope it will be a mutually inspirational and enriching experience for all involved.
