You will work on a wide range of projects across 59's international portfolio, supporting the development of design work and at the end of the internship you will have a broad understanding of 59's design process and approach.
As part of the 6 month paid internship you will receive mentoring from the Art Directors, one to one sessions with the Company Directors and have access to a range of software, equipment and tutorials.
59 have a strong track record of running internships in the company, and using this experience, we strive to create an invaluable developmental experience. Job Description & Responsibilities
The Design Intern will be responsible for a range of project tasks, including:
- Research and reference gathering
- Using 2D and 3D software to interpret design ideas into sketches, visualisations and animations
- Supporting the development of the design work
Person Specification
We're looking for someone who is:
- A resourceful and talented video designer
- Motivated and enthusiastic about the progression of video design and how it collaborates with other disciplines
- Has a creative and responsive design approach
- Comfortable working to deadlines and can work well under pressure
- Passionate about live performance and public arts projects
- A collaborator and a strong communicator
Skills
Your skills could include:
- Excellent command of Adobe Creative suite
- Analogue and digital drawing
- Animation
- Editing
- Knowledge of digital media formats, including Quicktime, and an understanding of video file formats, codecs etc
