Charity Administrator

Create Sheffield is seeking an organised, creative and proactive Administrator to join the team at an exciting time in their development.

Role summary

  • You will play a supportive role in the development and delivery of projects, which aim to positively impact life chances for children and young people and the adults that support them.
  • You will work with staff and Trustees to develop and maintain relationships with artists, teachers & city stakeholders across creative, education, business, and community sectors.
  • You will use your creative flair to signpost opportunities and help celebrate and tell the story of the creative activity happening in the city across creative, education and community sectors.

Job description

  • Part-time, 22-hours per week

  • Salaried £24,054 - £26,845 (pro rata) with access to pension scheme

  • Desk space at Learn Sheffield, Albion House, S4 7UD with flexibility for homeworking by agreement

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 25th January, 1 pm.

Interviews will be held in-person at Learn Sheffield on the morning of Monday 30th January.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in an administration / customer service / communications assistant or project coordination role

  • The ability to create, maintain and enhance productive working relationships with colleagues, partners and a variety of people at all levels

  • IT skills (including Microsoft Office) including the ability to become fluent in new IT applications and systems

  • Experience in sharing company communications through social media and newsletters (training will be provided)

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

  • Absolute commitment to access, celebrating diversity, and working within an equal opportunities framework

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide a high-quality administrative service, undertaking a wide range of administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the Charity.
  • Offer assistance and support to the Manager, Trustees and freelance members of staff, helping to develop new projects and initiatives in consultation with creative professionals and key stakeholders.
  • Be the first point of contact for all internal and external enquiries relating to the Charity.
  • Establish and develop good working relationships within the team and key contacts at all levels both internal and external to the organisation.
  • Share and celebrate the work of Create Sheffield and our partners through social media, direct mail, our website, newsletters and printed materials. We welcome those with a flair and interest in content writing and digital marketing.
