The role

Bridgette : a white working class woman, 27 years old, Cumbrian*

A single mother, carer, bartender and committed climate activist for greater flood protections in her area. Trapped in a cycle of burnout, whilst trying to stop the planet burning out too.

*The performer must be from Cumbria, or the North West of England and be currently based / have a base in London. We will consider performers from the North East if they meet the rest of the criteria.

Due to the play's content, we strongly encourage applications from people who identify as working class, or coming from a lower socio-economic background.

We particularly encourage applications from LGBTQ+ people and those who feel underrepresented in the arts. We welcome applications from performers with specific access needs.

Timeline

Must be available for all of these dates.

Rehearsals: 27 Feb - 17 March (Location - London)

Vault Festival Performances: Sat 18, Sun 19 March (Location - London)

Tour: W/C 20 March (TBC)

Re-rehearsals: W/C 22 May (Location TBC - London / Manchester)

Tour: 29 May - 10 June

Fee

£550 / week - above ITC standard rates.
