Creative Apprentice

Modern Poetry in Translation magazine is seeking someone aged 18-25, who identifies as a person of colour, to work with the organisation on a 1 year, fixed-term contract as a Creative Apprentice.

Creative Apprentice

This role is an opportunity for the successful applicant to gain skills and experience in the field of arts administration, and to contribute to the successful running and development of this historic organisation at a busy and crucial time.

The apprentice will be paid £90 a day, for 45 days in total, over the 12 month period. They work very flexibly and are happy to negotiate a suitable work pattern with the successful candidate, but they would expect the position to involve approximately 5-7 hours of work a week each week. MPT doesn’t have physical office space and all staff work from home, but they are happy to provide some face to face support and co-working time as may be needed.

The job will entail a range of duties designed to give the post-holder insight into different areas of arts organisation management. Please note that this role is not an editorial one, and whilst an interest in poetry would be an advantage, this role would suit someone primarily interested in pursuing a career in arts marketing, administration and management.
