About this event

Starts: Friday 31 July 2020 1:00 PM

Ends: Friday 31 July 2020 1:30 PM

The Curve Leicester responded to the Leicester lockdown by commissioning a digital project celebrating the art and culture of the city. Not Something That Other People Do is a spoken word piece, written and performed by Jess Green, BBC Slam Champion of 2018. The piece explores the unique heritage and culture in Leicester and invites audiences to reflect on what makes their city special, despite closures during lockdown. You can watch the piece below.

This Friday we'll be catching up with Jess Green, the writer and performer behind the poetry, live on Instagram. If you're looking for spoken word inspiration or want to find out what it's like to create a digital project in a time of social distancing, tune into our Q+A and ask your own questions.

Don't forget to DM us your questions or you can ask them live in the stream. Follow our Instagram to make sure you don't miss out. See you Friday!
