Not content with the inescapably catchy beats of ‘Get Back to Love’ dominating the airwaves, Kris James is now providing us with some eye candy in the form of a stunning Times Square Billboard - every musician’s dream!
Following on from his international success found with previous band The Scheme, since Kris James struck out on his own he appears to be doing even better. First solo release, ‘Eyes Open’ made it to number 25 in the iTunes charts, and subsequent releases ‘I’ll Be Here’ and ‘Anymore’ also broke into the top 40.
But this latest release heralds in a new era of musical taste for the Liverpudlian superstar. “I thought after a while of writing deep and meaningful tracks it was time to drop a fun and funky disco love song,” says Kris James of this new and exciting track, which mixes funk, disco and good old-fashioned pop to create an absolute anthem of a party song.
But that’s not all.
Every musician dreams of one day having their face plastered up on a Billboard in Times Square. Few actually achieve it. Kris James is one of these few. That’s right, as of last month, Kris James’s face has been gracing a much-coveted billboard in the world-famous Times Square. James posted about this milestone on Facebook, saying that “as a little boy growing up I always used to look up to the Times Square Billboards hoping that one day my music might be up there! Today that dream came true!!! Don’t give up on your dreams guys.”
It is this sort of humility which pervades all of James’ music and personality, proving that he is more than deserving of the billboard slot on the crossroads of the world.
