Six reasons why you should sign up to TheatreCraft 2018

Six reasons why you should sign up to TheatreCraft 2018

From producing, directing, stage managing, sound and lighting, video design, make up and costumes to PR, marketing, theatre journalism and play-writing, TheatreCraft gives 16-30-year-old future theatre makers the chance to explore practically every off-stage profession through workshops, tours, Q&As, talks and networking opportunities.

Here are 6 reasons to sign up for a free place, from TheatreCraft’s organisers…

THE INDUSTRY EXPERTS

This year, you’ll be able to put your burning questions to world-leading theatre professionals through our brand new 'Super Panels', focused on Marketing and PR, technical theatre, producing, fundraising and a special 2018 TheatreCraft Ambassadors panel. In addition to this, attendees can join in on casual, theatre-based careers discussions at our ‘Ask Us Anything’ sessions.

THE VENUES

Hosted by the beautiful Waldorf Hilton Hotel, TheatreCraft also runs a variety of workshops, backstage tours and talks in nearby buildings – like the Aldwych, Novello and Lyceum theatres and the Royal Opera House – giving you a taste of the inner workings of some of London’s top West End venues.

THE CONNECTIONS

Throughout the day, TheatreCraft offers exclusive opportunities to rub shoulders with the best in the business, and find out the secrets to their success. There will also be time to meet peers, share ideas and get tips on crafting a perfect CV, selling an idea and becoming a networking pro.

THE MARKETPLACE

A dynamic ‘careers marketplace’ will run all day at the Waldorf Hilton Hotel, giving attendees the opportunity to drop in at different stalls for a chat to representatives from over 50 of the country’s top theatre organisations, including the National Theatre, Shakespeare’s Globe, RADA, The Old Vic, Young Vic, English Touring Theatre, Stage One, Les Enfant Terribles, boundless theatre, The Roundhouse, the Stage Management Association and White Light.

THE 100 TICKET GIVEAWAY

For the very first time at TheatreCraft, anyone who attends the event will automatically be entered into a raffle for free tickets to see some of the hottest shows in town that very evening, including Heathers, Kinky Boots, Tina – The Tina Turner Musical, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Chicago, Motown: The Musical, The Mousetrap, Dreamgirls, 42nd Street, A Very Very Very Dark Matter and more to be announced…

Perhaps most importantly, TheatreCraft is entirely free to attend! Places on workshops and talks can be booked now via the website – so don’t hesitate, book your free place at TheatreCraft 2018 here, and spread the word to your theatre-loving friends.
