Voice Magazine is delighted to announce the return of the Voice Showcase.
For 2024 our theme is Community: Your place in the world.
We are exploring what community means and how you represent it. Community is more than just a place you live; it's the feeling of belonging, the shared experiences, and the connections that shape who we are.
This year, we want you to delve into the concept of community and how it intersects with your life. Do you find strength and support in a tight-knit cultural group that celebrates your heritage? Perhaps you're drawn to the energy and collaboration of a creative community that pushes artistic boundaries. Maybe your sense of community stems from activism, where you connect with others who share your passion for social justice or environmental protection.
The showcase is also open to exploring the challenges of finding your place. Not everyone feels like they belong to a specific community. Perhaps you've moved to a new town and haven't yet found your niche. Maybe you feel like an outsider within your own family or social circle. Sharing these experiences can be just as powerful as showcasing established communities.
Whether you’re an artist, musician, poet, graphic designer, dancer, or multidisciplinary artist, we want to hear from you. All artforms are welcome, meaning you can use any method to capture and communicate how you see Community.
Why participate in the Summer Showcase?
Voice Magazine exists to promote the work of young artists, and the Voice Showcase is one of our flagship platforms to get your work seen by a whole new audience of thousands of like-minded creatives.
You will be featured in our Showcase gallery alongside other entrants and be given the opportunity to talk about your artistic practice in the accompanying interview.
You’ll also receive professional feedback on your artwork from our panel of professional judges. Oh, and did we mention those judges will be allocating prizes to their favourite entries? Find out more about the prizes below!

Key Information
Who are we looking for?
We will accept submissions from young people between the ages of 14 and 30. No matter your art form, as long as it translates on an online platform, and responds to the theme of Community: Your place in the world, we want to see it.
When is the deadline?
Submissions open at 00:01 on the 1st April and remain open until 23:59 on 31st July.
How do I submit my entry?
All entries will need to be submitted via the application form above.
Please note the following restrictions:
- Multimedia must be no more than 5 minutes in length
- Written content must be less than 1,000 words
- All entries must be in keeping with our House Rules
Any submissions that exceed these restrictions will be ineligible for consideration in the competition.
Prizes
If you choose to enter the competition, then each shortlisted submission will be judged by a panel of industry professionals. There will be one winner and two runner-ups. from each category. The winner will get a £50 voucher of their choice, and each runner-up will receive a £30 voucher of their choice.
Each submission will be showcased on our site and viewed by our thousands of readers and creative partners. So whether you win in your category or not, your work will be seen and celebrated!
