Buying Theatre Tickets

Buy tickets to theatre shows and other entertainment! It’s how the arts and cultural scene keeps going. But sometimes it can feel overwhelming or expensive, or both.  We’ve got some tips and options below.

Use Voice TicketsBuy Theatre Tickets through Voice

We’ve teamed up with Encore Tickets to bring you a range of exclusive discounts, all year round offers, and tickets for under £20.  Currently it’s mostly London orientated with West End theatre tickets, dance and opera.  There’s also access to lots of attractions too; immersive theatre like the London Dungeon, museums and access to the Historic Royal Palaces.  Schools and Arts Award centres can also make group booking requests - benefiting from great rates. If you’re heading on holiday to New York then there’s loads of Broadway tickets too. And for a great day out you can buy Concerts, Afternoon Tea, and even river cruises. You can also find something local to you, just hit the magnifying glass to search for shows happening at a city near you.

Plus when you use our site a small cut of what you pay comes back to us to support our work enabling young people’s voice in the arts and our work to reach out - all at no cost to you.

It’s also a great way to give a gift; you can buy gift vouchers too.

Search out under 26 and young people's deals

If you’re a young person keen to see more work then be sure to check out your local theatre - many do discounts or have schemes for young people to get reduced price tickets.  Like Derby Theatre, Manchester Royal Exchange, Chichester Festival Theatre, The Southbank Centre and Exeter Northcott and even the National Theatre through their entry-pass scheme.

Theatre TokensStay local and find tickets to a show near you

There’s lots going on in the subsidised, small theatre world as well as those box office smash hits. There’s also regional commercial theatres that often receive the West End shows on tour. So you definitely don’t need to feel left out. Some easy ways to find local venues and shows include:

Make use of the TKTS booth

If you end up in the West End then you can chance your luck at the Society of London Theatre’s TKTS booth. There’s not a guarantee of the show you want, but there are always some great deals for shows that day - usually at a great discount.

And you can use any Theatre Tokens you might have, which can be bought at a discount if you’re an Arts Award Alumnus.

Look out for Kids and Family Deals

If you have a family then it’s worth checkout out whether your local theatre, museum or other attraction has any deals available for children or family tickets. For example most of those above offering Under 26 tickets will also do family deals. You can find family attractions and shows on Voice Tickets and you could make use of Kids Week in London each August.
