Leonardo, Michaelangelo, Raphael around 1500. Exhibition at National Art Gallery, London

I visited the above event which opened at the National Art Gallery on 1st September 2017. The event exhibits the Taddei Tondo, which is the only marble structure in the UK, by Michelangelo.

Leonardo, Michaelangelo, Raphael around 1500. Exhibition at National Art Gallery, London

This sculpture has been borrowed from the Royal Academy of Art. Michaelangelo created this sculpture after he became impressed by Leonardo's work including his, now lost, painting of the Virgin and Child. What is interesting and perhaps not known by many is that Leornardo and Michaelangelo became enemies, as did Raphael and Michaelangelo. Perhaps they were all jealous of each other! The event is very interesting and one to see to understand more about the relationships between the 3 iconic artists. But hurry - this exhibition is only on until 28th January 2018!
