Black Lives Matter event

I went to the Black Lives Matter event to which I was also a performer.

This was an event that was a celebration of artists of various different art forms and activists within the uk.

Black Lives Matter event

There was spoken word, dance, rappers and singers.

First I will start with what I didnt like.

I didnt like the fact that it started about 2 hours late

But also to be honest I didnt like the fact that some of the artists only could perform one item.

Because of the time that had been far spent the time had been cut but I was very inspired by the different art forms that came on stage.

The act that caught my attention was BOY BLUE which is dance group in which I dont even know how to describe what type of dance they were doing. I think I liked it so much because It was like something I had never seen before.

It was African inspired contemporary fused with street that was very dramatised.

I felt as if the performance had transported me somewhere and admittedly I may not fully understand the message that they were trying to convey but it definitely was impactful because of the emotion that was included in it.

I would DEFINITELY go and see this particular group again if they were to do another show and I encourage EVERYONE to look them up!
