Pour Out The Light Releases Enchanting Electronic Ambient Track "Blue Star"

In celebration of the summer solstice, French independent ambient/electronica project, Pour Out The Light, released his mesmerizing new single, "Blue Star".

This captivating electronic piece is a part of the artist's upcoming EP, "Soft the Sun" set to launch a month later on July 21st. With "Blue Star", Pour Out The Light explores the theme of the sun's warmth and its life-giving power, incorporating a beautiful blend of vintage and modern electronic instruments, along with various acoustic and electric elements.

"Blue Star" is a magical composition that combines slowed-down synthetic arpeggios, delicate string ornaments, a minimalist beat based on synthetic kick drums, and enchanting melodies from the Mellotron. The resulting musical experience invites listeners into a poetic and immersive journey, evoking a sense of wonder and contemplation. As the first track from the EP, "Blue Star" pays a luminous tribute that perfectly aligns with the timing of the summer solstice, celebrating our profound connection to the radiant light of the sun.

Pour Out The Light is no stranger to collaborating with top-notch talents, and "Blue Star" is no exception. The track was crafted in partnership with esteemed sound engineer and producer Beau Sorenson (known for his work with Death Cab for Cutie and Sparklehorse) and Andrew Pelletier (from Fur Trader and Minor Characters). The EP "Soft the Sun" is only a glimpse of what's in store, as an eagerly awaited full-length album, expected to release by the end of the year, promises even more auditory delights.

Originally hailing from Paris, Pour Out The Light has been based in Chicago for the past 15 years, fusing vintage and modern electronic instruments with various acoustic and electric elements. Drawing inspiration from film scores (Angelo Badalamenti, Ennio Morricone), electronic music from the '90s and 2000s (Air, Boards of Canada, M83), independent rock (Sufjan Stevens, Radiohead, Sigur Rós), and neo-classical compositions (Ólafur Arnalds, Nils Frahm), his music aims to elicit a range of emotions, allowing listeners to weave their own interpretations within the musical tapestry.

With a highly cinematic and emotionally evocative sound, Pour Out The Light's music is heavily influenced by the works of renowned filmmakers such as David Lynch, Wim Wenders, and Jim Jarmusch. Each composition offers an immersive experience, taking listeners on a sonic journey that resonates on a profound level.

As we bask in the warmth of the summer sun, "Blue Star" provides the perfect soundtrack for moments of introspection and connection to the natural world. Pour Out The Light's artistry skillfully weaves a spellbinding musical narrative, inviting us to explore the depths of our emotions and celebrate the beauty of life.
