HighRise Theatre presents NEW GENS, a brand new associate young company.

HighRise Theatre have built a strong reputation as makers of innovative and exceptional theatre. Recent credits include Lil.Miss.Lady (a grime theatre rave starring top UK MC Lady Lykez) and The UK Drill Project, an immersive theatre show exploring drill music and culture in the UK.

New Gens offers free training, performance opportunities, support to explore future pathways in the arts (music and theatre specifically) and introductions to industry connections PLUS perform in an industry showcase at Shoreditch Town Hall.

Young people that have worked with HighRise theatre previously have:

  • gained employment within theatre, music and the arts
  • performed in professional theatre productions at high profile venues including The Roundhouse, Camden
  • worked with established theatre/music producers and recording artists

There are two informal audition/taster sessions for New Gens at Shoreditch Town Hall on Thursday 16th January 6pm-9pm and Thursday 23rd January 6pm-9pm.
These sessions are strictly invitation only. There is nothing to prepare and no experience required. To be involved you must be between the ages of 16-27 years.

If accepted onto the New Gens programme, you'll work with HighRise Theatre to form a new young associate arts collective, working every Thursday 6pm-9pm through to the industry showcase in April 2020.
