Spoken Word Summer Volunteer Project

Join us for an exciting volunteer opportunity at the London Transport Museum.

We are looking for volunteers aged 18 – 25 to take part in a spoken word project over the summer to help us commemorate the centenary of the Battle of the Somme. No previous experience necessary just lots of enthusiasm!

Spoken Word Summer Volunteer Project

Working with spoken word artist Mr Gee you will have the opportunity to:

Gain a Bronze Art Award

Work alongside other creative people

Develop your writing and performance skills

Attend a live spoken word event at Pop Brixton

Have your work displayed in an exhibition

Perform at an exhibition launch event at Bruce Castle Museum in Tottenham

Sessions will take place every Tuesday from 2 August - 6 September, 10.00am - 3.00pm, at Bruce Castle Museum. The exhibition launch event is on Sunday 23 October. Travel expenses (Zones 1 - 6) will be reimbursed and lunch will be provided.

We will be holding an introduction session on Thursday 28 July at London Transport Museum, 10.30am - 1.00pm, where you can find out more about the project.
