Client Relations Intern

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Client Relations, the Client Relations intern will be primarily responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the smooth delivery of service to the Ocula member gallery network.

Client Relations Intern

The purpose of the Ocula Internship Programme is to provide students or recent graduates from relevant backgrounds (art history/fine art etc.) with hands-on experience working in a digital environment servicing the international contemporary art market. With teams in London, China and Auckland, this is a unique opportunity to begin a career in the international contemporary art world, learning from industry leaders, using innovative technologies and working across multiple markets.

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Client Relations, the Client Relations intern will be primarily responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the smooth delivery of service to the Ocula member gallery network.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A strong desire to embark on a career in the contemporary art world and a thorough understanding of contemporary art
  • A background in art history or similar
  • Advanced PC skills. Most of the required tasks are focused on using our own CMS, for which full training and support will be provided. Experience working in digital environments desirable
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to listen, adapt, persuade and transform
  • Effective organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Attention to detail and high level of professionalism

Applicants to the Ocula internship programme must have the right work in the UK.

The Ocula internship programme is a paid position. This is a fixed-term 3-month contract based in our London office. The hours will be 10am-6pm, 4 days a week, but there may be flexibility if the candidate is enrolled in a university course or similar.

The purpose of the internship programme is to provide experience and training. There should be no expectation of employment at the end of an internship although on occasion further opportunities may be available.
