Voicebox: Schools on Voice

My review of the 90 minutes interpretation of Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night' performed by The Royal Shakespeare Company.

On a beautiful Friday evening, Madness descended on Shrewsbury for what was hoped to be an atmospheric and, for many, reminiscent few hours; reviving, not just the sound of the 80s, but the sound of working-class Britain. It was exactly that.

Both uplifting and shocking, engaging and informative, this short piece was cleverly put together and puts an image to the high school that every queer (and even straight!) person wishes they grew up in.

The end2end TV crew are aged 11-13 & have successfully completed their Bronze Arts Award in TV Production. World Record Holder Natalia Cohen said: ”They are [...] developing incredible strengths that will be useful in many areas of life!”

For my unit 1 challenge I have decided to throw my hand in Spoken Word/Poetry writing. I would love to hear your feedback on a couple of my pieces :)

The UK beatboxing championships of 2018 hosted at Battersea arts centre, London. My experience of the day taking part in workshops and watching the eliminations later at night.
