ARTS AWARD SUCCESS IN TV PRODUCTION!

The end2end TV crew are aged 11-13 & have successfully completed their Bronze Arts Award in TV Production. World Record Holder Natalia Cohen said: ”They are [...] developing incredible strengths that will be useful in many areas of life!”

On Saturday 5th March, the Mayoress of the London Borough of Bexley, Mrs Christine Hunt opened a ceremony to recognise and celebrate the exceptional achievements of the end2end TV crew at their Arts Award Celebration Event, held at Burnt Oak Junior School in Sidcup.

The end2end TV crew are a group of twelve children aged 11-13 who have successfully completed their Bronze Arts Award in TV Production; a level 1 certificate in the arts which is equivalent to a GCSE Grade 3-1 (previously D-G). Joining the celebration were proud parents, patrons of end2end TV and Primary & Secondary Head teachers and others from the London Borough of Bexley.

end2end TV CIC is a TV Production Company based in Bexley, crewed entirely by children and young people. The crew have completed a TV NOW! Scholarship Program which they began in April last year. They have learnt TV Production Skills using professional equipment including HD ENG cameras and broadcast quality vision & sound mixers, as well as participating on 'live' studio, location, and professional shoots. Children have undertaken real life TV Production roles from directing and vision mixing to camera and floor managing, working across a separate Studio & Control Room. They have also trained other young people to use these skills. A part of the Bronze Arts Award requires young people to pass their knowledge and skills onto others: e2e Crew member Dylan said: “I liked teaching the kids and seeing how they progressed in their different roles.”

Lorraine Smith, end2end TV Director and Arts Award Adviser said: “The e2e Crew have taken their technological skills further than most children of their age have done before; they are our first cohort to have completed our Scholarship Program and we are incredibly proud of them.”

Peter Barrett, end2end TV Director added: “Our ‘hands on’ learning environment gives young people a platform to develop a high level of skills, rather than us just giving them a manual and asking them to read it.”

end2end TV Patron; World Record Holder and Motivational Speaker Natalia Cohen said: ”HUGE congratulations to everyone for their amazing work and achievements. The e2e Crew are challenging themselves and developing incredible strengths that will be useful in many areas of life! I look forward to seeing more of their work in the future.”

Huge congratulation to the whole e2e Crew!
