Brighton Fringe Family Guide Launch

Come to Horatio's Bar on Brighton Palace Pier to celebrate the launch of our Brighton Fringe 2019 Family Guide.

Winners and runners-up of the Family Guide cover competition will be announced at the event with the Mayor of Brighton & Hove, Councillor Dee Simson, handing out prizes.

The launch will include entertainment from the fantastic Miss Disney, free refreshments and Brighton Palace Pier will be giving a free ride to every child that attends.

For the competition England’s largest arts festival is challenged children 11 years and under to create a piece of original cover art inspired by the tagline for Brighton Fringe 2019: ‘Dare to Discover’. 

The winner will see their work on the front of 70,000 Brighton Fringe Family Guides and receive a gift voucher worth £200 to spend on tickets at Brighton Fringe 2019. They will also receive a Gold Friends membership entitling them to 2 for 1 offers on events and many more benefits. Three runners-up will win two tickets to a Brighton Fringe children’s show of their choice. On top of this, Brighton Palace Pier will be donating the following prizes:

  • 8x Unlimited Rides Wristbands
  • 8x Ice Cream/Donut Vouchers 

Runners-Up (x3):

  • 4x Unlimited Rides Wristbands
  • 4x Ice Cream/Donut Vouchers

Julian Caddy, CEO of Brighton Fringe, said: “Dare to Discover can be a call to action, a challenge, an invitation. It’s a chance to push your own boundaries and to get away from your everyday. You never know where you may end up!”

This year’s judging panel includes Mark Oliver, the illustrator for the Brighton Fringe 2019 brochure, Anne Ackord, CEO of Brighton Palace Pier, and The Pebble Trust.
