Voice Views: Your 2019 Arts Highlight

We’re looking back on 2019, and we want you to join us. What has been your 2019 arts highlight?

Voice Views: Your 2019 Arts Highlight

The 2019 Round-Up

As we’re approaching the end of the year (nay, decade!) we tend to look back across the arts and recall the stand out moments. Over the next few weeks, our Voice Contributors will be revealing the Top 10 run-down in literature, films, live shows, video-games and albums. Make sure you keep an eye out for those comprehensive guides and check out any books, movies or singles you may have missed this year.

Why You Should Get Involved

In the meantime, it’s over to you. Whilst our Voice Contributors are bringing their own opinions, we also love to hear from the community. Whether you Tweet us @voicemaguk, send us a DM on Facebook, reply to our Instagram stories or even post a blog right here on Voice, please do join us in this year’s arts low-down.

One of the many reasons we love art is the fact that it’s global, personal and unique. So even though we’re covering a diversity of art forms in our 2019 round-ups, we still don’t have the arts scene covered. It’s just too large! And that’s why we need your help.

Your Top 2019 Arts Highlight

So - tell us. What artwork really stood out to you in 2019? Whether it was a fashion line from your favourite retailer, an artist’s new single or album, poetry or visual art, we would love to have your thoughts.

It’s no secret that this year had been politically tumultuous in our country. Is there a particular artist who has highlighted marginalised voices, or contributed somehow to social change? Here at Voice we’re all about giving a platform to emerging artists, so we welcome your opinions.

Perhaps you witnessed your 2019 arts highlight at a festival: Brighton Fringe, Edinburgh Fringe, the Totally Thames festival. If you’re looking for a quick reminder, check out our festival Voiceboxes to jog your memory.

How you can get involved

Luckily, it’s super easy for you to get involved and help us highlight a plethora of 2019 arts moments. If you’re a Twitter user, Tweet us @voicemaguk with the hashtag #VoiceViews. You can also DM us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, or reply to our stories on Instagram.

Alternatively, we’d love you to post right here onto Voice. It’s a super simple process, simply follow this link

We can’t wait to hear about your stand out arts memories of 2019 - it won’t be the same without you.
