Meet Cork's Finest Musical Act Skies Behind

In the heart of Cork, a musical revolution is brewing, and its name is Skies Behind. The alternative rock sensation, consisting of Dan Sheedy, Richard Brett, and Joe Clarke, has recently graced the world with their latest single, "I Love It".

"I Love It" is a song meticulously crafted by the trio over an intense 8-week period at their shared home just south of Cork City. The track, masterfully produced by the experienced Mike Dwyer of The Bunker Recordings in New York, captures the essence of Skies Behind's innermost fears, hopes, and aspirations. The song's inspiration stems from the overwhelming feeling of losing control, countered by the realization that leaning on loved ones is the key to finding balance.

This release serves as the first single from the upcoming EP, "The Spaces". Skies Behind describes this project as a reflection of their current selves, both musically and sonically. Ambitious and emotionally charged, the EP promises a unique journey that for sure fans are eagerly awaiting.

Skies Behind's meteoric rise gained momentum during their first-ever Irish tour in March/April 2023. Delivering electrifying performances in iconic venues like Whelan’s in Dublin, Cyprus Avenue in Cork, McHugh’s in Belfast, and Aras na Gael in Galway, the band quickly solidified their status as one of Ireland's most promising alternative acts. From packed-out gigs to enthusiastic crowds, each show left an indelible mark on the audience.

Skies Behind's passion for music and infectious energy make them a formidable force in the alternative rock scene. As they continue to evolve, Skies Behind remains a beacon of defiance, hope, and unparalleled musical talent in the vibrant Irish music landscape.
