I have been working within arts, cultural & education practice for 20yrs, developing creative opportunities and activities for young people. I am passionate about a variety of arts but particularly love to see dance & performance art and enjoy going to live music events, I am a visual arts & crafts person myself. I am a Youth Voice trainer for Upstart and project associate for Young Arts Reviewers programmes, I am also an Arts Award senior moderator, trainer and adviser, with experience in research & development, project management and consultation skills.

Film review: Where the Crawdads Sing – classy but by no means cliché… by Ellie BlackwellI read the book and thoroughly enjoyed it, I was immersed from the beginning to end. I was therefore a little apprehensive going to see it in the cinema as films don't always match up to the book but I was totally overwhelmed and fully immersed, I thought the film did the book proud - it was fantastic and I agree that the book should be treasured!

'First Encounters: Twelfth Night' by Lauren HintonGreat that even though you know the story and perhaps have seen it many times, that it was still engaging and enjoyable. Different interpretations and adaptations can be inspiring in a variety of ways...although I don't envy you sitting on school PE benches throughout!
