Jonny Ong brings back the 60s with 'Fools'

‘Fools’ is the new song from singer-songwriter Jonny Ong who has studied contemporary jazz and soaked up the music of Sixties bands including Cream. His voice sounds very Arctic Monkeys whilst the production puts you in mind of Trevor Horn.

The hauntingly beautiful trumpet solo brings it to life whilst Ong skilfully plays a unique musical instrument known as a Handpan. As he provides an emotional narrative regarding a relationship breakdown, I do feel a sense of empathy towards Ong and the relatable subject matter might connect with others as well.

In summary, ‘Fools’ is a track with easy on the ear vocals, first-class musicianship and most importantly heart. Therefore, I think you would be foolish not to give it a listen.
