Feedback Please :-)

Hi everyone, my name is Jaya and my style is what I call 'realistic anime'.  However, this is a picture that I drew in a manga style. Please let me know what you think. I usually start off my drawings with the eyes and build the face around it, but this time I decided to do the eyes first but make the main focus of the drawing the hand.
Subsequent pictures show how I add detail and shading, which is the focal point of all my drawings.  Part of my art award adviser's feedback is to add backgrounds to my work.  For this piece I chose to add the yin and yang, which was inspired by a Zentangle design that my mentor showed me.  The attached image is the end product so far.

I used pencil to draw my own interpretation of a character called "Kilua Zoldyck" from the "HunterXhunter" series. He has lightning powers and comes from a family of assassins.  I had never really drawn a hand so I was learning as I was going along. I added the yin and yang to represent the conflict of good and bad within his character because he was brought up in a family of assassins, but he has friends that are good.

Good work. Great attention to keeping the hand and head in scale, not an easy task. Well done.
