Studio 5 Genesis Cinema

Earlier this week I checked out one of the coolest cinema spots in London. Fun, affordable and definitely one to visit

Studio 5 Genesis Cinema

When looking for something exciting and different to do one day, I came across Studio 5 at Genesis Cinema in East London. From the off I couldn't wait to go and check it out and I'm glad I did! Tickets were under £10 a person, for a very small and cosy screen, which offered snacks and a bar in the cinema itself and some home comforts.

My favourite thing about this cinema screen had to be its seats. As silly as it sounds, each of the seats are sofa style, way comfier than your average cinema seats and you can choose to book either a single seat or a double. The double seats are like a mini sofa and great to cuddle up with a friend or loved one. With footstools to put your feet up and blankets to stay warm in the winter it was a great way to enjoy a film.

I would definitely recommend this for young people of all ages, with friends and family. There are a range of films to see. The screen itself is also available for private viewings, so for those that have a digital Arts Award portfolio this could be a great venue to check out!

As well as films, there are a number of special events held at this screen so keep an eye out!

One thing to keep in mind is that you have to book in advance! Luckily the film I went to see was fairly empty, however due to the good prices and the fact that there are such few viewings at this screen I'd definitely advise you to pre-book.

It's only a short walk from Whitechapel station, with a number of restaurants around, including the cinemas own Genesis Kitchen. I'd recommend planning a whole day or night out, with Central London only a few stops away by bus or tube.
