Pierre Novellie is Anxious Peter

English humours with a South African accent

Pierre Novellie is Anxious Peter

You may think of a well-dressed man with slick hair and a posh accent when you hear name Pierre Novellie, but I can assure you that he's your average common man, with a good sense of humour.

Pierre kept everyone in laughter talking about the difference between living in South Africa and the UK.

He briefly mentions how it's better to use Tinder in cities like London rather than the Isle of Man where he migrated to. He explains how there are more women in London to interact with than in the Isle of Wight, where you'll bump into the same person twice (paraphrasing).

To be honest some jokes did go over my head purely because of the references that were clearly too old for me to relate to. However, most of the content was quite relatable, and certainly funny.

He wasn't afraid to be explosive, or interact with the audience. His quick wit made the gags and responses hilarious, but very daring.

I'd recommend seeing him for good humour and smart jokes.

If you'd like to see Pierre performance check him out at the Pleasance Courtyard, (Venue 33) on Aug 16-17, 19-30 at 21:30
