The Girl Who Fell in Love With the Moon

An amazing show with an incredible story.

The Girl Who Fell in Love With the Moon

The Girl Who Fell in Love With the Moon is spectacular. An amazing ensemble of multi-talented individual joined to perform each tail of their characters. Meet Clive, Scarlet, Jack, Selena and Luna, who find themselves lost in a forest on their way to the Fringe for their show.

Each one performs their story in the forest until Luna shares her story before dawn where she vanishes into the light.

The performances were flawless. Each character trait was clear and well presented. In each story was a blunt message about social mistakes we're all guilty of committing.

Each story is relative and holds a strong message that revolves around the theme of "Reaching for the stars". For example, stories based on over-consumption of information from using the internet and on the hunger for fame and false advertisement.

The story which touched most of the audience was Jack's, who felt like the outcast. He charms us with his singing while beautifully playing the accordion. I can say he's truly "out of this world".

The singing and dancing really were a delight. The use of popular songs, with the word "stars" added to the themes of the performance.

What I loved about the show was the use of practical lighting. The jars of light they carried were enough to creatively light their faces as it drives the story forward.

This is one show you can enjoy with your family with great singing and dancing as well as a touching performance by the girl who fell in love with the moon.
