Morro and Jasp Do Puberty

A hilarious show full of everything girls are too embarrassed to talk about, Morro and Jasp kept the audience on their toes and delivered a fantastic performance that had the audience laughing from start to finish.

I didn't know what to expect going into this show, but I am pleased to say it was everything I could have wanted it to be, and a bit more. From the second the lights came up everyone was laughing, even the facial expressions of the actresses had the audience in fits. There wasn't a single person in the audience who didn't find the show funny, men and women alike.

Despite the awkward nature of the shows key theme, the performance was far from awkward. The play displayed every teenage girl's thoughts and feelings with ease and laughter, and for women in particular, the play is highly relatable.

Both actresses had an easy rapport, both with each other and the members of the audience, with whom they conversed throughout the show. This inclusion of the audience made it feel as if we were on their journey of discovery with them, and I really liked how involved they made the audience.

I think it's fair to say that everyone fell in love with Morro and Jasp at first sight, their characters being cute, awkward and very very funny, and I would love to see more of their shows. Both performers clearly have great acting talent as well as the ability to make people laugh solely by looking at them, and they were an absolute pleasure to watch.

My one hesitation is that I'm not sure how funny it is for men. The men in the audience with me were definitely laughing, but there were only a few of them, and I think the nature of the show makes it difficult to relate to, so they were probably there because their girlfriends/wives had asked them to come with. Having said that, the show is funny enough in other ways that the men in the audience remained amused and definitely had fun.

Overall, I absolutely loved the show and spent the entire hour laughing out loud. This is definitely a must see show for women everywhere!

Morro and Jasp is on at 8pm until August 31st, excluding 17th.
