Ellsmere College are looking for a recent graduate in technical theatre to join the school for a fixed term one year placement as Theatre Technician and manager of our purpose built Arts Centre. It is an opportunity to gain invaluable experience managing a venue, running a student technical crew and acting as technical manager for in-house performances. The candidate will be a trained technician who is particularly able to design, rig, operate, maintain and develop our lighting and sound systems. Familiarity with video projection would also be an advantage. The theatre has recently had a technical re-fit and is used by pupils in the College for performances and rehearsal. In addition, the school book in professional touring theatre companies and musicians. Ellsmere also operate as a community venue for a variety of groups and charities.
