The Horniman Museum and Gardens is a unique attraction in south east London where world cultures and the natural world are brought together for everyone to enjoy. The Museum holds internationally important collections of anthropology and musical instruments, as well as a popular natural history gallery and Aquarium, and is set in Gardens with a Butterfly House.
They are seeking two enthusiastic Collections Management / Documentation Trainees to assist with the redisplay of their Natural History Gallery, as part of the Nature + Love project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
As these are traineeship positions, if you have previously had paid work in the field of Collections Management or Documentation you cannot be considered for this position. However, you can be considered if, for example, you have had paid work in the museums / heritage sector in a different field, or if you have volunteered in Collections Management or Documentation.
The closing date for completed applications is 10am on Friday 15th September 2023. Interviews will be held on Thursday 5th October and Friday 6th October 2023. Anticipated start date is Monday 13th November 2023.
