Occam is looking for a new team member with excellent pattern cutting skills and enthusiasm for UK manufacturing. They work with UK manufactured fabrics, everything is sewn in house and we sell internationally. Your focus will be helping to manufacture our designs.
Their sunny studio is in Camberwell, SE London. The team is small and so you'll learn heaps about small batch production, there is room to grow and learn within the position.
Precision, accuracy and attention to detail are important. Plus a love of dogs!
Job Requirements
- Registered freelance, this is a freelance role
- Excellent communicator
- Proficient Pattern Cutter, you studied fashion or you make your own clothing
- Precise - you'll be cutting expensive fabrics!
- Passion for making, sewing and doing - excited to get stuck in and hone in your creative making skills
- Interest in small batch production
Job Responsibilities
- Assisting design with day to day tasks
- Prepping patterns for manufacturing
- Cutting multiples of different designs in different sizes
- Labelling pre cut garments, adding to inventry
- Ironing fabrics
- Preparing garments for seamstress
- Organising stock for limited edition drops
