The Shirley Sherwood Collection is the world’s largest private collection of contemporary botanical art.  It represents over 30 years of collecting by renowned botanist Dr Shirley Sherwood OBE and comprises 1,050 works of art by 320 artists from all over the world.

Digital Marketing Internship

The Sherwood family is looking for a home-based, creative, social media savvy person to help grow the Collection’s online presence and influence by driving traffic, building online followers and subscribers, and marketing ancillary products, events and services. You will be responsible for managing their digital marketing and content calendar, optimising content on (and functionality of) their website and helping to run various projects including their 'Young Botanical Artist' competition in collaboration with Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

The ideal intern:

  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An ‘ideas’ person with an entrepreneurial spirit in your approach
  • Creative & proactive with the ability to produce high quality written content and compelling copy.
  • Able to physically attend meetings in Oxfordshire and London

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor degree qualification in digital marketing, communications or related field
  • Technical experience with Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator (or similar)
  • Experience with video making and editing software
  • Experience writing copy for publication on digital channels or print
  • Experience maintaining and developing digital channels and online communities to engage and retain target audiences, especially websites, social media and email networks.
