Voice's internal reviewing system

This is how we consider a performance when delivering a star rating

Voice's internal reviewing system

We have been reviewing festivals for a number of years now, and general performances, films and events for even longer. In a number of these reviews, we often summarise our feelings with a star rating.

Now, everybody understands that five stars is great, and one star not so much, but with something as subjective as reviews, we felt it was probably a good idea to provide a framework for each reviewer to consult when deciding on how many stars to award.

⭐- Why did I spend the last hour of my life here. No redeeming qualities.

⭐⭐- A nice effort, I can see what they were trying to achieve but the execution was off

⭐⭐⭐- A well rounded show

⭐⭐⭐⭐- Definitely better than average, a show that is successfully unique or executes the familiar amazingly

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐- A simply must-see show, flawless, or very close to perfection, better than the sum of its parts and truly memorable.
