Youth Voice Training: Co-creating at board level - May 2022
May 4 2022 | Zoom 17.00-19.00
Upstart Projects’ experiential online Youth Voice Training courses offer organisations the tools to better engage and involve young people in decision making processes and designing projects – making progressive moves to innovate and grow your insight.
Our training builds on our experience running Voice Magazine and directly engaging hundreds of young people as young journalists, trustees, ambassadors, cultural professionals and event organisers over the past 10 years.
This twilight workshop online explores the roles of young people and adults working together on organisational governance, and how to have productive meetings and a genuine voice in discussions. This is a discussion and activity based session designed to bring adults & young people together.
The session will equip young people to make a meaningful difference to your decision making processes in collaboration with adult trustees. It is also designed to equip adult trustees attending with the know-how to listen to and encourage diverse voices in the board room.
The skills learnt can also be used in any other scenario where young people and adults make decisions together – whether that’s about a project, organisation or building.
Upstart Projects is the charity behind voicemag.uk, the Arts Award Alumni network and numerous other youth voice programmes. We trained over 100 organisations in 2021 with support from the Centre for Youth Impact and Social Investment Business.
We also have a free Introduction to Youth Voice interactive online presentation and a free introduction to being a young facilitator interactive online presentation on our website.
